@fckingiza @hsdtogethertour you'll never remember every second but it will stick with you so much more if you're in the moment rather than splitting the moment between your phone and your eyes. you'll remember the feeling 💗

HSD Together On Tour@hsdtogethertour·
Harry’s team are reviewing parts of the stage setup for the Together Together tour! “The floor concept was designed to give fans freedom of movement and the ability to experience the show from different positions, rather than being confined to one fixed viewing angle. That open, free-flowing floor experience has always been an essential part of Harry’s live shows. A small area of the staging in specific floor positions appears to have had a restricted sightline. Those areas are being reviewed carefully and adjusted where possible in compliance with all safety restrictions.” (via TMZ)

@fckingiza @hsdtogethertour maybe it's more about the in-person experience. I'd be annoyed to miss out on the immersion of the visuals and the music because of the insistence to film - just don't film that song, there will be other videos of it

And yet you don’t see an issue with paying someone £8 per hour
dan barker@danbarker

@PolitlcsUK The 10:1 pay ratio would mean any business employing apprentices on minimum wage would have to pay their CEO £80 per hour or less. As a hypnotherapist, Zack Polanski charged £145 per hour.

And that's my core issue with her as an artist. So close to yet so far from doing something interesting, even if it's incredibly simple

You know what, I've solved it. She should have just called it "Not Wuthering Heights". Everything else is the same. I would have gone okay yeah crack on Emerald.

like at least I can respect original ideas as original ideas rather than shoehorning a fantasy into one of the most atmospheric, thematic and dynamically complex novels in the literary canon and using its name to give yourself credibility

I read the synopsis of "Wuthering Heights" (2026) and it's so divorced from the novel that EF literally could have changed all the names and called it "Fever Dream" or "The Moors" and given the same "it's my 14 y/o self's interpretation of WH" and it would have been fine

Emerald Fennell’s brand of being a sicko director is so funny to me. She’ll say something like “my Jurassic Park would have a sex scene between a man and a velociraptor” and then eagerly look around the room to see if she offended anybody.

I don’t believe in scrupulously faithful adaptations, because film is a different medium from books BUT I do think that adaptations have an obligation to at least engage with the thematic concerns of the og text in some sort of way. Fennell’s disregard feeds into illiteracy
𓁢 f.@vdysseys

saying this about WUTHERING HEIGHTS is genuinely insane, i'm not exaggerating when i say that literacy is at its lowest and for that i blame booktok.

Emerald Fennell's adaptation was never going to work because her core thesis is shock for shock's sake. Wuthering Heights explores the extreme aspects of human nature that facilitate cycles of suffering and its value is completely separate from the shock it might evoke.

wuthering heights is the first time inaccuracy in a book to movie adaptation has actually bothered me & not even because i care about the book it just did reach a level of like… okay if i need to entirely throw the book out to enjoy it why not just write an original script?

‘throw the book away’ well make an original film instead of an adaptation then 😭😭😭
sagesurge@sagesurge

#WutheringHeights is a beautiful mess of passion, destruction, lust, revenge & unhinged behavior. Throw the book away & step into the madness of undeniable chemistry & explosive toxic desire. Margot Robbie & Jacob Elordi are enthralling. #WutheringHeightsMovie movie is exquisite

Disagree with virtually every take on Wuthering Heights - crucial element often missed is how central ambiguity and uncertainty is to gothic fiction, esp in its first century. In teasing out societal anxieties, the work balances on a knife’s edge bwn subversive & reactionary

the funniest thing about wuthering heights movie is that if it was just an original script instead of an adaptation no one would be hating this much and it seems like the only thing they borrowed from the book is characters’ names so why make this an adaptation is beyond me😭
