@DazzlingMellie @DeliciousAthena OH MY GODS THANK YOU! This is it!
English

@ghosthermes @DeliciousAthena I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's fucking awful how common it is. I do wish i could find the study with the statistic i was referring to. cause it was like 4/5 trans women.

@biccsh @DeliciousAthena There has never been repercussions for my abusers

“Yknow, before Gaster dissapeared, people used to call her 'Crazy Cat Lady', apparently she gave them all the same name.”

@DazzlingMellie @xputaindemerdex please Ignore this, i realized i was misunderstanding your original post lmaooo
English

@DazzlingMellie @xputaindemerdex It's important to remember that while 'gendered socialization' is bullshit, 'Enculturated Patriarchy' is not. Trans women are inherently forced by the nature of their existence to question and deconstruct their enculturated patriarchal belief. -
English

@2CB_AGERE @DazzlingMellie yes, but it's not the act of transitioning that makes trans men the oppressor, it's the fact they are men.
English

@tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie Patriarchy brain worms have whittled away your consciousness until there's nothing left.
English

@DazzlingMellie Especially when it’s so clear that transwomen don’t transition away from being oppressors, instead they grow more into it. The inverse is true for trans men, they become more oppressed during their transition, not less.
English

@BBurgeon3155 @DazzlingMellie third option, and what she meant, it's not the act of transitioning that makes trans men oppressors, it's the fact they are men.
English

@DazzlingMellie For this to be false either trans men aren’t men or men aren’t oppressors
English

@diesater_ @saiseihime @DazzlingMellie We live in a patriarchal culture, and as the men of trans people, trans men have an inherent blindness to the ways in which patriarchy benefits them both pre and post transition.
English

@metr0nix @TrisGreat @DazzlingMellie Patriarchy is an inherently toxic force, and a trans man who does not grapple with and deconstruct his internalized and enculturated patriarchal beliefs will only end up rehashing the same misogyny and sexism as cis men.
English

@TrisGreat @DazzlingMellie No they aren't. Trans men are queer people who also wish to make gender and sex less rigid and inflexible. They are our comrades not our enemies.
English

@DazzlingMellie @xputaindemerdex Trans men do hold privilage over trans women due to patriarchy, however many of those privileges are counterweighed by the opression all trans people face.
English

@DazzlingMellie @xputaindemerdex Prvilage often gets treated as "this class of people gets more than other groups" with out analysing the fact privilege is as affected by Intersectionality as Oppression. A black man IS more privliged than a black woman, yet is less privileged than a white woman. -
