This is a historic photo from 1949.💥 Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, in a hospital bed after an assassination attempt. He was shot 5 times by an Islamic terrorist group Fada'iyan-e Islam, which had close relations with the communist party — Tudeh. Tudeh was funded by USSR, which viewed Iran as very strategic because of access to the ocean and control of the Middle East. Tudeh party had one goal: Bring Iran into the Soviet bloc. But after this botched assassination, the Shah banned Tudeh as well as the Fedayeen group, although they simply changed their names and stayed active. Fast forward to 1953, the same “unholy alliance” tried to get rid of the Shah using Mossadegh, the crazy populist who nationalized Iran’s oil. (That wrecked Iran’s oil production, decreasing it by 96% in two years). But the unholy alliance of communists and Islamists never went away. In 1979, they took over the country. Now, in 2026, the same alliance can be seen on social media!
