6 years later and still hard but I’m getting better instead of crying every day it’s just randomly

So I’m always appreciative of those who force me to celebrate my birthday even though it’s not their responsibility because I’m an adult but the push is needed because this shit hard.

So the joke about me being a way when it comes to this birthday thing .. though it’s funny .. it’s not to be a diva it’s to survive

My birthday is May 18 my dad passed May 22nd

My response was “mom do something please” and she’s responded “I don’t know what to do..”

Eventually she’s like well Dijonnae he’s not doing well …

Anyway day ends and I don’t hear from him so next morning my mom calls and first thing I say is why wouldn’t my dad call me and my mom gets quiet

Fast forward 2020 my first birthday that I didn’t really plan to do anything it was still fine everyone called sent gifts it was such a good day.. only thing that bothered me was my dad hadn’t called which I was expecting him to be the first call of the day..

Birthdays have never been a big deal for me I just would always celebrate no pressure just a natural normal celebrated time

Anytime I choose to be idle for my birthday it is a difficult time.

Ok what better place to let this o it before I have to go be an adult .. gotta preface with I’m not depressed etc. just prepping for an isolation period
