(April 14 1996) 29 years ago as an unranked 5’9 150 pound guard I was asked to participate as a fill in at the Magic Johnson All American game. After three days of practicing with the team I would earn the starting spot and lead my team to a victory and win MVP. I matched up against Kobe Bryant, Tim Thomas, Richard Hamilton, Shaheen Halloway and more… After the game the number 1 player in the country Kobe Bryant was asked which player impressed him the most. If you know Kobe Bryant he doesn’t hand out praise. Our friendship begin that week and remained solid till his last days. These are the stories they won’t tell you on podcast. #Yoda
