Every Friday night across Nebraska one event brings communities together, high school football. For @UNK_Football alum Tye Spies it means a little bit more.
As the head football coach for the Loomis Wolves, Spies juggles a busy schedule of teaching and coaching the next generation.
Growing up in Mullen @TyeSpies was always drawn to life in a small town and after his time at UNK he was able to move back to a rural community and help kids who are same position he was in.

"The dudes who are out there playing – their attitudes and their commitment to each other – that’s what makes this defense so good."
"We talk constantly about who you are as a person. Your character, your moral fiber, who you are when things aren’t going well – all of that matters to us. When you can find guys who check all those boxes and have the athletic ability, that’s when you get special players."
