@RachelReevesMP Blair and Brown used cheap credit as a means of allowing us to think we were wealthier than we were. And that pretty much helped trigger the worst financial crisis we’ve seen in my lifetime and pushed so many people into bankruptcy.

I’m really proud of the 2 seasons we made of THE AFTERPARTY - one of the most ambitious comedy series ever - with exceptional work by the writers, cast, & crew juggling the genres & the mystery. Bummed there won’t be more, but thankful for the super clever, passionate fans! ❤️

@cenkuygur As someone watching from a far, who’d the Dem establishment replace him with if he actually stood down? They’re never going to vote in a genuine progressive. That goes against their centrist core (that they are relatively comfortable in given the Republican lurch further right).

Love you, Frank. But you can vote as enthusiastically as you want, but those poll numbers are real. Wishing there isn’t an iceberg straight ahead doesn’t make it so. The answer isn’t to pretend it isn’t there, the answer is to turn the ship, because we’re so close to hitting it.

@mgshanks But this is just a by-election! The Tories will still have the same majority they had. Any promises made are entirely futile. Until there’s a general election, nothings going to change.

@atrupar As with other western economies, decades of failure to address the growing wealth gap opens the doors to people like Trump. In the UK, it was Brexit and Boris. The symptoms and rhetoric is practically identical.

We can quibble about methodology, but the bottom line is that polling like this is a symptom of an unwell country

However, with Labour policy largely being on par with Cameron’s Tories, the SNP will fight more for the changes required for the people in this constituency.

@SpeakerMcCarthy All the investigations started long before Trump announced he was running. Are you saying that they should have all stopped as soon as he did that? Are you saying that any American can be immune from prosecution if they run for political office before (or after) being charged?

Justice should be blind, but Biden has weaponized government against his leading political opponent to interfere in the 2024 election. Now a radical DA in Georgia is following Biden’s lead by attacking President Trump and using it to fundraise her political career. Americans see through this desperate sham.
