And this is why Kirby is great as a coach!
Coach AJ 🎯 Mental Fitness@coachajkings

Kirby Smart uses ONE statistic from Gallup to help him manage his team's culture. He knows that everyone affects the culture. He shares this number with his leadership team and it helps him categorize the team into 3 groups. The 3 groups are: • Engaged - They are loyal and productive. • Not Engaged - They are just putting in the time. • Actively Disengaged - They are unhappy and spreading their discontent. So why does Kirby care? He said, "In essence, then, the CEO’s job is to improve the ratio of engaged to actively disengaged workers." His job is to figure out to level people up from: • Not Engaged → Engaged or • Actively Disengaged → Not Engaged According to the latest Gallup study, the average for most organizations are: • Engaged = 30% • Not Engaged = 52% • Actively Disengaged = 17% He is constantly looking at his team to see what group they fall into. He said, "I think that the organization starts at the top. And if you hold people accountable, and you hold people to a standard that you can make them understand they can move from actively disengaged, to not engaged and then hopefully to engaged." Takeaway: Everyone affects the culture. Your culture is everything. It's your behaviors and what you are willing to accept. What you reinforce is what the culture will sustain. When people are negative and actively disengaged then this will spread when you allow it. This affects the confidence and attitudes of everyone. "You're either coaching it or allowing it to happen." - Kirby Smart - - - Follow @coachajkings for more posts like this!

@WillDarkey @WillDarkey if you are going to make a graphic with the WR, I think it’s very disrespectful not to put all the kids in the room on it. Those kids practice just like the ones on the graphics you made. You have guys on there that haven’t even made it to campus yet.

With the way kids are behaving, along with the way parents are justifying those behaviors. Why would anyone want to teach? Because you get the summer off? Kids cussing you out and swinging on you. And if you defend yourself most likely your career is over. Wild times

Do you want to know the truth? If you can’t crack the lineup, you will be asked to leave. Moving forward, the family is only for the players who have turned into key contributors. Everyone else will be wished luck in their future endeavors. 💯
