And from some documentation I've seen when it turns black that means the seals in the fan motor are going. Fortunately new motors aren't too bad ($1400). Unfortunately that system is long obsolete and prone to control unit failure.

On my way I stopped to check out this abandoned bus on I-95. Poor girl, blown rear tire and everything is sprayed with oil.

All the accessories on the motor are dry so its not leaking from that. gallon of atf and a tire and it will make it home
