One thing I'll give the TW games is that I never feel like they're unplayable, you just kind of get fatigued out of campaigns. Even while applying serious cheese, its pretty easy to (soft)lock campaigns in PDX games such as HOI4 by comparison. (Not to mention lategame framerate)

Seeing these comments makes me laugh. I am no fan of Rutte's past policies nor do I agree with what he did in my country - but if this man isn't one of the single most talented politicians you have ever had the experience of witnessing, I don't know who is.

Trump goes to Europe and says, "you are going to need to build up your militaries, because the United States cannot afford to keep large armies stationed in Europe anymore. We are going to need to pull them out." Europe responds, "no, we do not want to do that." Then many hawkish politicians back in America also respond, "no, we do not want to do that either." So Trump says, "in that case, I am taking Greenland." Suddenly, Europe decides to build up its military. It increases the number of soldiers, expands equipment stockpiles, and ramps up its capacity to produce military goods. Very quickly, European powers are likely to ask for U.S. bases to be closed, because they no longer want or need them. Trump can accomplish all of this simply by saying he is going to take Greenland, without ever actually doing it (yet). That is the power of words as magic. If you understood that Trump is a wizard, you would understand him much better.

Today is a sad day. After nearly 5 years of loyal service, I regret to inform the world that my #HOI4 stein for which @PDX_Katten, @HistoryGame_V and I bled in the trenches of the community cup died horrendously due to blunt forced trauma to the head.

The expanse is one of the best sci-fi shows of the last decade, despite its shortcomings in the last season. 100% agreed, shame it couldnt be carried on.

This is why the Expanse is so good (even though the TV show was rushed at the end and ended on a cliffhanger) You’re primed to support the rebels at the beginning and then it turns out they’re even worse genocidal psychos. Much more realistic portrayal of most revolutionaries
