@bigvila_ I’ve been in the situation before, always wait til there’s 1 minute to board. They’ll eventually go up to ~2 racks in flight credit or 1500 in a pre-paid gift card. I got the guy an extra 700, he was amped. Told him ask for first class on the next flight too, which they gave him.

My flight was overbooked. They were looking for 1 passenger to volunteer to take a different flight. The initial offer was $375. Then $500. $900. The guy next to me stood up when it went to $1200. I told him sit down and wait until there’s 1 minute left to board. He got $1900.

@MidwestHook I’ve never witnessed it first hand but on one of my moms flights she was going to take it when it reached 1k because someone was about to take it when it was at 500 and then someone ended up no showing so they said they didn’t need her anymore but gave her a $100 credit anyway
