@ericepe We can assume that in such a severe ride condition the motor and battery will heat up and efficiency would decrease even more. Note that the Enviolo is taking another 15% in losses.

@ericepe The battery is 500Wh on paper, I reality even when new it might be a few % less. Then, from the battery the efficiency of the whole powertrain is around 80%, so 400Wh mechanical. Divided by 500W constant it's 48mn

The Bike43 Alpster model 2021 is out! It is powered by the Shimano EP8 #emtb motor. The motor delivers 85Nm of torque. The more torque, in Newton meters (Nm), the less fast you can pedal for the same speed. bit.ly/3nEWj1t

@ChrisseChanteux You're right, the bike43 can handle high speeds easily. But: 1) conventional bicycle children seats cannot legally be used on a speed bike. Thus, a speed bike would be fine for cargo application 2) There are high costs for homologation, and currently the demand is too small.
