Last week,@DLCI_Kenya , together with partners @NLC_Kenya , @acted_kenya and the Ministry of Lands conducted community land registration sensitization meetings in Lorengippi, Nakurio, and Loduat in Lokiriama/Lorengippi Ward, Turkana County. Community members were taken through: · The community land registration process · The importance of forming the Community Land Management Committee · The role of community institutions in land governance · The benefits of land registration, including conflict reduction, land use planning, and community decision-making · The importance of inclusive leadership with representation of women and youth This process is part of a broader effort to strengthen community land governance and reduce land-related conflicts in the Turkana–West Pokot border areas.
