atp some people are prioritizing an idealized idea of what og Hika and yoshiki could've had instead of yoshiki's actual life. I just think he deserves his chance to live, move on and find happiness again

I have the same headcanon as OP and I want to stress people should read this extra chapter more often because it's one of the rare chances we get to see og Hikaru OUTSIDE of Yoshiki's POV, and he was such an attentive person.

Something interesting is that Hikaru’s football teamates and acquaintances call him by his first name (something used only for very close people) rather than “indou” take a look at volume 6 when Maki meets him the first time, probably doesnt want to be reminded that he’s an indou
