As I’m sure most of us are aware, the most recent wildfires in Los Angeles were the most devastating in the history of the city. Our hearts go out to all those affected physically, mentally, and emotionally. During this time it is important to prioritize the things that make us happy.
As a Southern California myself, my heart breaks for the hundreds of kids who lost not only all of their equipment but their little leagues as well. As a result of the massively horrific and destructive Eaton fire, Central Altadena little league has burned down. California Strong has partnered with both Rawlings and Easton to help rebuild the greater LA baseball and softball communities including equipment replacement, equipment donation, and fire relief.
This cause has inspired me as well as many of my other high school teammates and friends playing college baseball around the country to help in any way we can. The college baseball world is small, tight knit and we know how uplifting this sport can be even in the toughest times. We are passionate about contributing to this cause by raising money that goes specifically to rebuilding Central Altadena Little League.
This money will be available to the president and board of the little league to rebuild the little league that was standing just a few weeks ago. The incredible UCONN community has already been emphatic about wanting to help this cause. So, Husky Nation, please consider donating to this incredible cause, and help the Central Altadena Little League community be whole once again.
