David Eby is a hard left ideologue driving BC off a fiscal cliff. Tommy Douglas always ran balanced budgets in Saskatchewan because he understood that debt = money going to interest payments instead of people. Debt also means higher taxes in the future, for a province that already has some of the highest taxes in North America.

In the way only an economist can, @trevortombe absolutely crushes the BC NDP for their utter, reckless fiscal ineptitude: "But most concerning of all is British Columbia, with a deficit of more than $13 billion for the coming year..." (1/4) thehub.ca/2026/04/01/the…

“A city’s creativity doesn’t depend on cars. That’s the 20th century. We’re in the 21st.”— Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. No matter what happens in the Paris election, the world’s cities owe Mayor Hidalgo a huge debt of gratitude. The boldest, most inspiring mayor I’ve seen. ft.com/content/8fbad7…

Where should cities start with bike networks? Not with the once-a-day commute. Design for short, frequent trips: to school, shops, childcare or the train. Journeys we make again and again. Because if cycling works for daily life, it works for everyone. iscouncil.org/s3e9-modes-of-…

The more people that choose to walk, bike & ride public transit around cities, the better cities work for everyone, including drivers. EVERYONE. There’s no “war on cars,” just an opportunity for more successful cities. You’re being lied to. It’s time we tell #TheTruthAboutTraffic.

77% of Americans would pay more to live in walkable neighborhoods. What if... local governments legalized walkable neighborhoods?

Contractors are no longer scrambling for workers – they’re scrambling for work. ICBA’s 2026 Construction & Wage Survey finds 40% expect more work in 2026, nearly 1 in 5 expect less (avg -25%), and only 6% think government is on the right track. Details: icbaindependent.ca/2025/12/11/new…

6/ To rethink streets is to rethink citizenship. When the street becomes a shared ecology instead of a traffic channel, public life expands. It becomes a place to linger, to meet, to grow — a reflection of justice, climate resilience, and collective care.
