Love or hate @UNC_Basketball you have to respect head coach Roy Williams. Before the @SouthCentralHS game he took pictures with anyone who wanted one, shook hands and was gracious. At times he was surrounded. I've seen other HOF coaches refuse to let anyone near.

207K views of this video so far and tons of negative comments about Godwin's attitude towards a reporter and then just walking off. Not a good look! Never been a fan of how he treats local media at times... Well, The ones that let him humiliate them.

@CrabbyPrivateer Coach K usually had his assistants do interviews... problem solved.

@billyweaver14 He's had this holier than thou attitude for years, especially with the media. If he hates it so much, he should just let one of his assistants do the interviews after the game..........problem solved.

@OldManJenks209 Well then we just disagree. Until you have had a coach do that to you in front of your colleagues you really dont have the insight. I've been there and that's my only point. Im not trying to run coach out of town but he needs to be called out when he's wrong.

@billyweaver14 Coach’s, sports media isn’t for you. It’s not like he got in the their faces and attacked them. They asked low level questions anyone with eyes could see the answers to and he decided to walk off and head back home. The pitch fork reaction he’s getting is a little much.

@OldManJenks209 This is not the first time he has done this and when you WIN... nobody says anything. When you lose people get "up in arms." I personally dont care because I will support the TEAM no matter but I sympathize with the reporter because I know how that feels.

@billyweaver14 People are up in arms about how he reacted and walked off. The man is human. He has emotions. He has dedicated nearly 1/3 of his life to this program try to make it successful. He just watched his team get walked off. Give him some grace and move on. If you can’t handle upset…

@OldManJenks209 To be fair he never finished his question. He may have been leading into something else... either way, no reason to act that way. I get he's frustrated but he's not a rookie coach. Make the media wait for you to calm down if you're that pissed.

@billyweaver14 Dude just watched his team get walked off he’s emotional and frustrated. Don’t ask stupid questions and he won’t respond negatively. “Coach we left 13 men on base what do you think may have contributed to that” what do you want him to say? “We didn’t hit the ball”??

@JudgeSma The guy was dressed down in front of his colleagues. I think that's humiliating. Just my opinion because I have personally been in that situation with a coach (not Godwin) Also, cooling down period maybe 15 minutes because reporters are on deadlines.

@billyweaver14 I wouldnt say he humiliated the guy. The guy had just lost in excruciating fashion. Is it a good look? No. Maybe the ECU brass should give the coach 30 minutes or so to cool off before the media comes in. Like they do in other sports….

@kevindcutler I really dont think it's NIL. Everyone has to deal with that. Maybe leading the team that has been to the most Regionals and Super Regionals WITHOUT a trip to the CWS is finally starting to take a toll. Losses start to hit harder. Just a guess.

@billyweaver14 Don’t expect your players to control their emotions when things are difficult if you can’t do the same. Those men and women (the media) are doing their jobs. Asking you to elaborate on the men left on base issue is not criminal. It’s a good, fair question. Answer the question.

@Piratefball17 It's just not right. The local media treats ECU Sports teams and coaches like Gold (Purple and Gold even 😆) and to be treated that way is unacceptable.
