Municipalities enforce bylaws sduphunga! That is literally one of the most basic functions of local government including compliance issues linked to undocumented businesses and illegal immigration. The fact that you are in government yet seem completely ignorant of something this elementary is honestly terrifying. It is people like you loud, arrogant and catastrophically uninformed who turn public institutions into dysfunctional circuses. You speak with the confidence of an expert while displaying the understanding of someone who has never opened a single policy document in their life.

If @HermanMashaba had any basic understanding of what is a mandate of each sphere of government as enshrined in the constitution - which at his level ought to be a basic understanding of systems in this country, he would know and stop misleading people to assume that the November Local Government elections have anything to do with the immigration question!!!! Populism of the highest order, it’s criminal when you want to miseducate and misdirect society at this level. Treasonous if you ask me, because people will start attacking ward councillors after elections on the basis of being misinformed on their roles and responsibilities. Umdala. Stop it

Frankly speaking, there was no need of this media conference. We warned Panyaza Lesufi and Police Commissioner Mthombeni. They left us more confused than before. It was always ill-advised to host a press briefing when you dont have full facts! What was the use of this thing in the first place, when there is no single suspect arrest.
