I remember my childhood Eid well; I would wake up with a genuine joy for which I knew no reason other than that the day was different. Back then, Eid happened in my heart before it happened in the streets, the clothes, and the sweets.
I grew up and discovered that Eid hadn't lost its joy... we've simply become so burdened by life that we're no longer able to feel it.
And since then, I've understood that what we long for isn't Eid itself... but that innocent spirit with which we used to experience it..
We understood too late that the joy wasn't in the fabric, but in hearts that were still simple and unburdened by age. We grew up... and Eid began to pass quietly, as if
reminding us of what we lost, not what we bought. And we realized that our most beautiful Eids were when we were poor in things... rich in spirit
Happy Eid to all my friends..
My wife, my children Ayman and Julia, and I send our greetings to you and hope that the next Eid will be better than what we are going through..
This is the first time we've celebrated the Eid without bombing or war in three years..
But we sadly see that other places are also being bombed... We are deeply affected by this war, as the black market has begun to grow and vegetable prices have increased tenfold due to the closure of the crossings...

Hoping for relief, I will welcome this Eid, my heart bearing the weariness of days witnessed by none I will smile as the patient smile, not because the sorrow has ended, but because I want to make those around me happy. For some Eids pass quietly, as if patting our shoulders and saying: Be patient, for there is still room for light on the path. And perhaps the relief that has been so long delayed was simply preparing for us a wonder worthy of all this patience.. The holiday is almost here. Bring joy to little hearts as much as you can, for some childhood wounds, once broken during times of happiness, cannot be mended. Give them moments worthy of their innocence, for a single incomplete memory can remain with them for a lifetime. The Eid is not just about new clothes, but a feeling of belonging that no one should be deprived of. What you plant in their hearts today will grow tomorrow, either as joy that illuminates their lives... or as an emptiness that nothing can fill.. I hope next year will be better than these circumstances... My friends, the specter of famine still looms over us... but we ignore the danger for a while to enjoy some rest... And yet we still have to stock up... There are absolutely no vegetables here, and the prices are ridiculous... All we have are canned goods and legumes... I managed to store a quantity that wasn't bad... but wasn't good either...
