I love posting opinions into the void on twitter but I have too many thoughts about the new genshin patch and the character limit is my enemy. I know sometimes people just link to an external location for long posts but I feel like the vibe of that is different idk

Though I do think this is 90% of why I even play the game (the other 10% being the story). Limbus's actual content releases and endgame modes are incredibly sparse compared to Hoyo games, but every single new ID design is fire and I can just get all of them.

It's still crazy to me how everything in Limbus is obtainable without gacha. HoS Ryoshu being omega shilled and wanting every other recent ID would be super cringe in any other gacha but instead she's really cool because you can easily just give her her whole family if you want.

Sucrose finally had all her lines replaced with the new VA and it's so awful. She sounds so wildly different I doubt I will ever be able to like her new voice. On top of the iffy writing she's had lately, it really feels like Hoyo doesn't care about this character at all.

Overall I would say I enjoyed ZZZ's story, but almost entirely for the individual character stories. I think the overarching plotline with the Exaltists was bad and the TOPS stuff was alright, but the way those tied into the characters was interesting.

Encore for an Old Dream was a great ending. I really appreciate this chapter returning to ZZZ's original style. Initially I didn't like the Angels at all but their story was pretty good and their group dynamic is really fun. Cissia was very funny but also extremely Alora-coded.
