In BIOBUILD, we are developing fully bio-based wallboards that combine: 🪵 renewable wood particles 🌡️ bio-based phase change materials (bioPCMs) for thermal comfort ♻️ 100% bio-based binders, including lignin Our latest article looks at how lignin-based binders are produced and processed, and compares two manufacturing routes: cold pressing and hot pressing. Each with different performance and industrial implications. The goal? 🎥 Highlights from @atriumEU_ workshop: Building Tomorrow: Innovative Technologies for a Sustainable Construction Sector Yesterday, we participated in a workshop organised by @atriumEU_ Project. 📄 New BIOBUILD Deliverable Now Available A new BIOBUILD report, “Definition and selection of KPIs” (WP1), is now available on Zenodo. The deliverable defines a shared set of performance indicators (PIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess bio-based building materials and solutions from material to system level.
