@OrekyehMI @EmekaOkoye Unfortunately, the private sector operators (usually the cronies of top government functionaries) have not impressed either. The key issue is value-for-money, no matter the executor!

@biodunadedipe Hmm.......the problem is the delivery of the projects. Do we trust the Government alone to borrow and deliver? They dont have a good track record. Maybe if we can get private sector involvement with clarity on recouping of investment , confidence would be boosted. @EmekaOkoye

Nigerians want infrastructure deficit bridged, but don’t want to borrow! That’s a case of you want to eat your cake and have it! Nigeria should look for and take cheap, long-term loans to build world-class infrastructure.

When we produce a significant portion of what we consume, we will create jobs domestically (not offshore) and deny the noisemakers a ready market for their sub-standard products they export to us.

The data in Nigeria is a lot more reliable than it was 5, 10, 15 or 20 years ago. We relied on it to accept that our economy went in technical recession in 2016. Why doubt its integrity now it says otherwise?
