🧫🌍 @JSI_SLO at #SETCoMS2026 in Belgrade! 🇷🇸✨ Researchers from JSI participated in the 1st South-East Transnational Congress of Microbial Sciences (SETCoMS 2026 & Mikromed Regio 6), contributing with both oral presentations and poster contributions showcasing cutting-edge advances in microbial sciences 🔬🚀 ⚡Among others, Aleš Lapanje presented insights on “Microbial ecosystem engineering by electrostatic design”, exploring innovative approaches for shaping microbial ecosystems and their functions. 👀 Dmitrii Deev delivered a presentation on “Development of a microfluidic screening approach for isolation of bacterial consortia with phytotoxicity-reducing activity towards olive pomace phenolics”, highlighting novel methods for identifying microbial consortia with potential applications in environmental biotechnology and sustainable remediation 🌱 👏 Congratulations to the JSI team for sharing their research and contributing to scientific exchange and collaboration within the microbial sciences community! 🦠 setcoms2026.ums.rs #JHorizonEU #MicrobialSciences #Biotechnology #EnvironmentalResearch #Microbiology 🔬🌿
