India has separate ministers for petroleum, coal, renewable energy and power. Perhaps time has come to consolidate and create a powerful energy ministry to meet India’s long term energy security.

Big US tech companies esp FAANG ( now including AI companies) still do a lot of their billing to India business clients in USD. Most of them also have spends in Indian in INR including people/offices/investments. Perhaps, the Indian Govt/banks/fin sector can setup a simple way for them to spend their revenue directly in INR.

@ANI I gave IIT-JEE first time in life in 1997 and it was the first time the exam was scrapped due to paper leak. It takes everything out of you as a student. This is a systemic problem which can be and must be solved.

@BipinSingh You also went to an accredited test centre to give your GMAT. How should we go about making that infra?

20 years ago I gave GMAT and it was completely online. Why can’t all tests in India be online ? Will save ton of resources and headache.

@sanchit_mdi I understand it all comes under National Testing Agency which can take this call. When voting can be done via EVMs and digital payments are all pervasive, tests can certainly be electronic.

GMAT is conducted by an org formed by private bodies that needs to maintain standards to be relevant. In India, Education is almost monopolistic and so are the agencies that conduct tests. Where’s the incentive for them to improve? On top of that there’s no accountability as well - bureaucrats can’t be fired and Ministers - the less said the better.

Been using @MobiKwik as my main upi app. Problem : It becomes really difficult to identify what transactions was for what. ( not a mobikwik specific issue ) Possible solution : When scanning a qr code, is it possible to click it as a temporary picture and store it in users phone for some x days ?? There seems to be a lot of pushback on @brian_armstrong post about non technical people shipping production code. It reflects lack of understanding of how scaled tech companies work. Firstly, not all code you ship is your core, critical business engine. There's tons of non-critical utilities, productivity enhancements, internal only dashboards , business analytics and so on. Secondly, SDLC itself needs to re-invented to be AI native with hard gating criteria including security and risk esp related to finance. AI can and does make mistakes. But like in self-driving cars vs human driving debate, which one do you think will more accurate in the long term? Once you make a distinction on production code tasks on security and risk rating AND have AI native SDLC with hard gating criteria, almost every non-technical smart person will be able to ship production code. Its just a matter of time.

India needs open source AI foundational models. This is the only way to compete as well as collaborate with global talent.
