It's Time To Debunk The Most Ridiculous Piece Of Titanic Trivia On The Internet For years, a viral "fact" has claimed that the steamy handprint on the car window in Titanic's backseat scene wasn't Kate Winslet's — but James Cameron's, who supposedly stepped in to "get the perfect shot." It's been seen tens of millions of times across TikTok, Reddit, and X. There's just one problem: it's complete nonsense. The hand on the glass is Kate's. The confusion likely traces back to a 2018 set-tour interview where Cameron mentioned pressing his glued hand onto the window after filming, to preserve the print for his museum — not during the scene itself. Cameron's hands do appear in the film (he drew Rose in the "French girls" sketch), and he's never been shy about saying so. But the orgasm shot? That was all Kate. Even her reps confirmed it: "The James Cameron hand theory is nonsense. It was Kate's." 🎬 Source: SlashFilm slashfilm.com/2196462/titani…

There's One Thing All House Of The Dragon Fans Can Agree About House of the Dragon fans can’t agree on much these days — from pacing and book changes to character decisions — but there’s one thing everyone praises: Ramin Djawadi’s score. Even when episodes fall flat or feel less epic than they should, his music consistently delivers. It builds tension with quiet piano, explodes into rousing orchestral and percussion-driven action, and weaves in character leitmotifs that make every scene more emotional and memorable. Whether it’s a big battle or a quieter moment, Djawadi’s work elevates the show and keeps the Targaryen saga feeling grand and powerful. One of the most reliable highlights of the series. slashfilm.com/2194291/house-…

House Of The Dragon Season 3's Battle Of The Gullet Changes The Book In Major Ways House of the Dragon Season 3’s Battle of the Gullet makes several major changes from Fire & Blood. Rhaenyra tries to ride Syrax into the fight but gets locked in her room by Jacaerys, who later dies in the battle while his younger brothers Aegon and Viserys sail for Pentos (Aegon narrowly escapes, Viserys goes missing). Rhaena claims the wild dragon Sheepstealer instead of Nettles, and the dragonseed riders Addam, Hugh, and Ulf are absent from the battle on a separate mission to hunt Aemond and Vhagar. Team Black is caught off guard by the Triarchy fleet, leading to big butterfly effects. slashfilm.com/2195436/house-…

House Of The Dragon Season 3 Took A Disturbing Game Of Thrones Tradition To A New Level In the Season 3 opener, a shocked Alicent urges her son Aemond (now Prince Regent) to head to Harrenhal and deal with Daemon — only for Aemond to respond with an uncomfortably long, slow kiss on the lips. She smiles politely afterward but avoids eye contact as he promises to return with Daemon’s head on a spike. The scene takes the Targaryen incest tradition from Game of Thrones to a disturbing new mother-son level, highlighting Aemond’s mommy issues and the Greens’ fractured family power dynamics. #HouseOfTheDragon slashfilm.com/2196954/house-…

House Of The Dragon Season 3: How [SPOILER] Feels About The Big Premiere Death; Harry Collett on Jace’s Death in House of the Dragon Season 3 In the Season 3 premiere episode “Salt and Sea, Fire and Blood,” Prince Jacaerys “Jace” Velaryon meets a heroic end during the Battle of the Gullet. After locking his mother Rhaenyra in her chambers to stop her from fighting, Jace flies into battle on Vermax alongside Baela. When the wild dragon Sheepstealer attacks, Vermax is shot down and dragged underwater by enemy forces, and Jace is fatally struck by arrows. Harry Collett, who plays Jace, said he is very happy with how the death was handled, calling it “such a cool way to go” that feels impactful and epic rather than brushed aside. He described it as a true heroic sacrifice that shows Jace’s leadership, though he noted the character was still just a kid making a rash decision without thinking he would actually die. Collett believes Jace would ultimately feel honored by such a legendary death in battle. He has known Jace’s fate since Season 1 and kept his sword and a model of Vermax’s head as mementos. slashfilm.com/2199201/harry-…

5 Reasons Why Pixar's Toy Story 5 Ruled The Box Office oy Story 5 has dominated the box office with a massive $312 million global opening weekend ($160M domestic + $152M international), beating Toy Story 4’s domestic record and becoming the biggest hit of 2026 so far. The film earned strong reviews (93% on Rotten Tomatoes, 95% audience score, and an A CinemaScore), thanks to perfect summer timing with almost no family competition, the enduring power of Pixar’s beloved characters, the franchise’s smart updates on modern themes, and the proven appeal of wholesome family blockbusters. 5 short reasons for its success: Perfect summer release timing with almost zero family-friendly competition in theaters. Excellent word-of-mouth from critics and audiences (very high ratings). Strong trust in the Pixar brand, especially with classic characters like Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. Toy Story franchise stayed relevant by tackling current tech issues while keeping its heart. Family-friendly movies remain the safest and most reliable bet for big box office wins right now. slashfilm.com/2199402/toy-st…

Potential Squid Game Season 4 Gets Definitive Response From Creator; Squid Game is officially ending. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has shut down any hopes of a Season 4, confirming at a Seoul press conference that Season 3 — dropping on Netflix June 27, 2025 — will be the definitive finale of Gi-hun and the Front Man's story. With only 6 episodes, the series will wrap at 22 episodes total across three seasons. However, Hwang did leave one door open: he admitted he's considered the idea of a spin-off, hinting that the Squid Game universe isn't done yet. Meanwhile, David Fincher is already taking the reins for Netflix's upcoming Squid Game: America. The games may be ending… but the world isn't. 🦑🎬 screenrant.com/squid-game-sea…

@JayKelley22 Yeah, the Corlys and Lohar final sequence did have some solid strategy and looked pretty slick. The article’s bigger issue though was that even with those moments, the overall battle still felt like it was missing real tension and emotional stakes for most viewers.

House Of The Dragon Season 3's Battle Of The Gullet Is Impressive – But It Has A Huge Issue; Battle of the Gullet in House of the Dragon Season 3 as technically ambitious and visually stunning — one of the most impressive large-scale battles in the entire Game of Thrones franchise, featuring massive naval clashes, dragon involvement (including Rhaena riding Sheepstealer), and a personal grudge match between Corlys Velaryon and Sharako Lohar. However, it criticizes the sequence for being all spectacle and no substance: it lacks real tension, emotional stakes, or meaningful character moments. The death of Prince Jacaerys (Jace) lands with little impact because the audience isn’t deeply invested in him, and the battle feels more like a flashy set piece than a narratively satisfying turning point compared to past GoT battles like Hardhome or the Battle of the Bastards. Overall, the piece calls it a Pyrrhic victory that looks incredible but fails to deliver the depth or heartbreak fans expected from the source material. slashfilm.com/2194632/house-…

@EL_Mojado_956 Yeah, that's a good point. The article basically says the same - it was hyped to be a massive step up from battles like Blackwater or the one in Stormborn, but it ended up feeling flat because it focused more on visuals than real tension or impact.

@bismil047 The issue is this specific Naval battle was supposed to scale Stormborn and Battle of Blackwater 10 fold in ships, blood and gore and it fell flat

that's a solid take. The article does say the battle looked incredible visually, but it argues that HOTD's lack of truly rootable main characters (unlike GoT) is exactly why moments like Jace's death didn't land emotionally for a big chunk of the audience. That's why the older battles hit so much harder.

@bismil047 I think it was incredible and folks who love Jace, did feel the emotional impact. But the one thing HOTD lacks, is an easy character to root for. And GoT had at least 5 characters that the audience could root for. That’s why Hardhome and The Battle of the Bastards hit so hard.

Yeah, going back to 10 episodes would definitely help with character development. The article touched on how the battle focused a lot on the Corlys vs Lohar grudge, but without enough time spent on her or the stakes, it was hard for a lot of viewers to care about that part. More episodes would probably fix a lot of these issues.

@bismil047 They need to go back to a 10 episode format. We need to spend more time with the characters. Also didn't give a shit about Lohar at all. Wanted her dead last season 😂

@Scavvvv Yeah, the first episode left a lot of people pretty disappointed. The article makes a similar point — the battle looked great visually, but the writing and lack of real tension or emotional weight made it feel off. I can see why some are starting to question the direction.

I agree the naval battle looked cool and it's nice to finally see one on this scale. The article basically says the same thing you did — visually strong, but it didn't do enough to remind the audience what was really at stake or build proper tension beforehand. Jace dying as a hubris lesson is an interesting take, but a lot of viewers still felt it lacked emotional weight.

@bismil047 You know why it had no emotional value.. the audience forgot what was at stake. I'm sure if this occurred as a finale it would 3xcite. I enjoyed the battle. We don't see many navy battles in the show. Jace dying was a lesson in hubris

Yeah, reactions definitely vary from person to person. Some viewers (like you and your girlfriend) felt it strongly, while the article’s point is that for a lot of the audience, Jace never got enough character development or emotional buildup to make his death truly devastating. It’s cool that it worked for you though!

Amazon MGM’s dumping of Artificial highlights the problem with a shrinking Hollywood Amazon MGM has dropped the Luca Guadagnino-directed biopic Artificial about OpenAI founder Sam Altman, stating the film “will be better served if it were released by a different studio.” The streamer is reportedly writing off its $40 million investment in the project, which has already attracted interest from MUBI after A24 and Netflix passed. The decision highlights a bigger issue in a shrinking Hollywood: as major studios consolidate under vast corporations (with Amazon’s own huge OpenAI partnership in the background), there are fewer outlets for filmmakers and growing pressure to avoid stories that might discomfort powerful figures. Even a respected director like Guadagnino can see his film binned, raising concerns about reduced creative freedom and the future of challenging cinema. filmstories.co.uk/news/amazon-mg…
