This is why I think Rover is such a good protagonist because similar to the WoL in FFXIV they know how to easily handle the punchy parts, it's the other shit that's difficult to navigate and that awareness helps reinforce that they don't go into everything to punch their way out.

It's a small line from the second act of WuWa 3.5 - but it's become one of my favourite quotes from Rover. Because some of his greatest struggles, were matters that couldn't be fixed by punching it in the face.

@king_of_games34 Had it been actually ethically built instead of scraped off the entire internet and using the "do it first ask forgiveness later" mentality it might not have been so obnoxious, but instead people are just being forced to foot the bill for technology that only benefits CEOs.

@king_of_games34 Key reason it's stuck around so long is unlike NFTs the "output" are less abstract and viewable by the naked eye. The issue being everyone saying it's okay until it comes for their jobs, which is mostly a people problem because no one cares til it affects them.

Gonna be honest, I dont think GenAI is a fad that will eventually dissipate like with NFTs. Theres an actual physical and financial incentive for companies to use GenAI to reduce costs of development. 99% of consumers dont care how a product is made.

@king_of_games34 It's always really funny when you look at NeuroSama/Vedal's documentation and last I checked they don't even mention the data set she was built off of, meaning it's most likely the same scraped data everyone else uses but people aren't ready for that convo I guess.
