@f4micom and said dataset should be open and available to everyone of course, else the algorithm is a black box much like proprietary software

@f4micom i am personally not a fan of the concept of "stealing" on an llm either way be it proprietary or free, a truly foss model would need to have a license to the dataset it's been trained on just like foss software

my current approach regarding llms is one of total open model accelerationism: if a few companies thought they could steal the intenet and sell it back to us convincing shareholders to invest billions on it the best outcome is for all of that to become obsolete and useless asap

@f4micom yeah, and that annoys the fuck out of me and it's why i don't even bother with LLMS or other ML products nowadays

@bit_uint32 i don’t think this is realistically going to be feasible anymore considering the internet is becoming increasingly majority ai generated content, the only thing that would get close to this would be a 100% synthetic dataset
