The forum is down due to a hardware issue. Probably back within a couple of hours.

Due to an ongoing DDoS attack, there may be periodic downtime.

A DDoS is causing slowness and errors, I'm working on it.

Fixing some things, should be back soon.

As far as I can tell, everything is back to normal now. Can anyone still not access the forum?

@potentialgoldOI I mean that in your hosts file (Google it), add a line like 34.198.191.99 bitcointalk.org, but you can use any of the listed IPs.

Seems to be a DDoS attack after all. There might be periodic downtime until the attack stops or I figure out an effective mitigation.

It should be working for everyone now.

Certain regions/ISPs cannot reach the forum for some reason, while others work fine. I'm looking into it.

I noticed a possibly-suspicious irregularity. Due to paranoia, I took down the server just be make absolutely sure that everything is OK.
