On February 23, 2024, the Bitforex team was detained and investigated by the Jiangsu Province police in China. This unexpected event caused the platform to become inaccessible, and users were unable to withdraw asset on that day. Due to the sensitive nature of the situation, we were unable to provide timely notifications to our users. After persistent efforts and communication, we are now allowed to announce that the Bitforex platform will reopen soon, exclusively for users to withdraw their asset. The specific details are as follows: 1.Trading Suspension: All trading functions will be suspended, and users will not be able to execute any buy or sell action. 2.Registration Suspension: During this period, new user registrations will be halted. 3.Deposit Suspension: Users will be unable to deposit asset into their platform accounts. 4.Closure of All Platform Service & Products: The platform will cease all types of service & products and undergo a comprehensive rectification. 5.Withdrawal Process: Users will be able to withdraw their assets from the platform to designated personal or external third-party wallets. 6.KYC Verification: Users holding perpetual contracts position will be required to provide KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation, including passport, phone number, and other necessary identification information for withdrawals. Any false, misleading, or defamatory statements about BitForex will be pursued through legal channels. On February 27, 2024, several BitForex team members were detained by Chinese authorities for investigation, resulting in a temporary service interruption.
Since July 24, 2024, after regaining system access, the BitForex team has resumed withdrawal processing and over 50% of users’ assets have been successfully withdrawn. All users are required to complete KYC verification and withdraw their assets before December 25, 2025.
Accounts that fail to withdraw by this date will be subject to a management fee. 💰 Management Fee Policy • A 5% monthly fee will be applied to remaining account balances (minimum USD 10) • If the balance is less than USD 10, a flat USD 10 will still apply • Account snapshots and deductions will occur on the 25th of each month • The policy will take effect one month after this announcement • Users who have completed KYC and applied for withdrawal before December 25, 2025 but whose withdrawals remain pending will not be charged the fee • Due to technical upgrades, no management fees will be charged temporarily for the following blockchains: IOTA, EOS, GRIN, MWC, BEAM, QTUM, ZEC 🪙 Platform Operations & Withdrawal Process To ensure full compliance and asset safety, BitForex will implement the following operational changes: 1.
