@dkschlosser And we invented high level programming languages to express these requirements in a formal way because natural language is not able to do so. I doubt that this has changed just by calling it "prompt engineering".

@dkschlosser I think that there will be definitiv a productivity boost in the "easy" tasks where requirements are clear and you just need to program it. People making these statements think that the hard part is writing code, this is easy. The hard part is reaching clarity on requirements.

Such claims seem to only come from people with no or very limited sw dev experience. It is a long way from generating a Todo-app to developing, running and maintaining an application with complex requirements. There is a reason sw dev is one of the highest paid professions rn.
