@bivpack @KyleTuckerCBB Wait, what?!?! we’re much bigger than both of those places. It’s not even close. Our metro is 1.4 million people. We like the 38th largest metro in the country now. Asheville is pretty dirty. Filled with druggies and homeless people. Greenville is awesome.

I had no idea: Greenville, S.C., is an awesome city. Legit really cool downtown district. Great restaurants and good vibes. I feel like this is the best kept secret on the East Coast?

If you want a clear, unemotional opinion of what a school should do about its coach, ask fans of the rival teams and do the opposite. I’m loving the Hubert/Belichick Era.

@PackInsider We’re going to look back at the 2020s as the sweet spot for college athletes getting paid. Wealthy donors are not going to keep funding this, and neither are the average donors, unless immediate ROI is realized - which is mathematically impossible for 120 teams over 10 years.

Seeing a lot of chatter about NC State wanting to shrink the gap in NIL, especially on the high-end donor side. That’s fine, but relying on wealthy boosters to fund a kid’s game year after year just doesn’t feel sustainable long term (not just here, but anywhere). So why isn’t NC State pushing harder to build mixed-use development around Carter-Finley and leasing it out to create recurring revenue? In a few years, we’re going to have an 81-acre entertainment district built up around the Lenovo Center. That’s already approved and underway. Shouldn’t NC State be positioning itself now to tap into that daily traffic and year-round activity? I get it. Tailgating is part of the culture. Nobody wants to lose that. But at some point, don’t you have to ask what it takes to stay competitive in this new era? Maybe this is already in motion. But if it’s not, it should be.

Went to a sports bar today to watch the tournament. We'd been there before, good food, good beer. Walked in and they had zero tournament games on. "Working on it." After one beer they still had zero games on. Mostly baseball and football re-runs on the TVs...a few TVs with a tournament app on, but "free trial expired.". Obviously, we left. I still don't actually understand any of it. How do you own a "sports bar" and not plan on having all the games on all day on one of the most important sports days of the year?

@JakeMarsh18 Christmas Day shouldn’t be on this list. Too many distractions. Sweet 16 THU/FRI is far superior. And replace Thanksgiving Eve with NFL Divisional Weekend.

@statefansnation @ncstatestats I didn’t dislike the team, per se, but I certainly disliked its play and effort, especially down the February/March stretch. However, I liked the change in direction and attitude of the program overall, which is all that matters to me going forward.

@ncstatestats Not controversial. Just INSANE! I've never disliked an NC State team more. Not even close. Not even the bad ones.

Maybe controversial, but I enjoyed that team. Miserable 3 week stretch at the wrong time. Rebounding collapse was bizarre. Lost every close game outside of Clemson and SMU. 297th in luck, 328th in 2 possession games. Ugly ending but overall this is what I expected in year 1.

Just never mentally recovered from blowing the Miami game.

Spent all of February debating the merits of being a 7/10 over an 8/9 seed because of the Round 2 implications and lo and behold couldn’t even beat an 11-seed to face the even more ideal 6/3 combo. 🤦‍♂️ Season was frustrating and goofy. Future outlook is promising.

This WBC game won’t be complete until Ronald Acuña fails to run out a ground ball.

If Darrion Williams has decided to earn his $2.5M over a 3 week period that’s fine with me.
