I know the production on THE FALL OFF is minimalistic tho the soundscape is versatile across board, i feel like the initial is why people won’t get to see the genius on there. The fact that almost no two songs have the same flow is mind blowing. Now try and lift those verses and place on any classic beat, you’d see what I’m on about. Cole maxed out every possible abilities he had & tbh the skillset on there is great enough to compare to any rapper. Why it would sound while is bcus his Cole up wasnt as I’ll hence pple still stuck on there

We can’t be serious in comparing these. ICEMAN clears by every single metric. GNX was slapped together to capitalize off a moment with mid tier production and terrible features. Then shoved down people’s throats through nefarious bot activity.

I think vintage better fits it but songs like legacy, ocean way, lonely at the top, and the whole world is the ville are examples and me saying it is minimalistic is not a slight at all. I mean it’s more mellow & less chaotic & also not much is going on close to half of it. I think the purpose was for us to hear him perform than a production carry, even if they are tailored to his voice across board hence why no two track is the same(from production to flows, etc).
