Most Frankenstein movies are about the hubris of man, but #TheBrideMovie takes it a step further by asking, "What do we do with the fuckmess they've left behind?" This is one of the most daring and original films of 2026 and one of the best monster reimaginings of all time.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jessie Buckley built #TheBrideMovie in a lab to give me the movie of my dreams. A shrieking, brazen journey of an ungovernable woman and a man who wants her to burn it all down if it means feeling her warmth. I loved every second of it.

Oh look, the review embargo lifted and so did the one on LB. Back to not using this hellsite unless contractually obligated by my job.

The Scream 7 Letterboxd review lock is not new. They did the same thing with Wuthering Heights when people were review bombing it before it had been released to the public, and HOPPERS is also currently locked up. It seems like it's just a new thing they're doing.

Daniel Chong’s #HOPPERS is the funniest Pixar movie in years, possibly ever, and packed with plenty of feel-good messaging about why we should never let the world convince us it’s not worth trying to make better. I’m obsessed with it. An instant classic.
