@KiraTheUnholy The rise of the internet, social media, and online dating were likely major contributors to that. Instant, ever-present interaction is the norm now. Maybe I'm just too far behind the times, trying to live in a fast-paced age that I've never had the wherewithal for.

@KiraTheUnholy I guess what I mean is that the general perception of a "successful relationship" feels like it's just been boiled down into "how much time do you spend with/how many things do you with your partner?" Constant attention is the expectation, and it's what most people crave.

Seeing someone talk about my ideal relationship dynamic like it's a totally alien concept got me feeling kinda strange...

@bjdadcs It's weird to me how this is weird... Personal space is a thing y'know. I can get real clingy but one thing I will still want when I'm living with my partner is the space. Not to mention I'm a very disruptive sleeper...

@bjdadcs i myself don't bother with relationships, even if, as i told you already, am very affection starved, because it's way too demanding for me, it becomes stressful after a while, and it also compromises my freedom in a way

@Probably_Pigeon Reading this just makes me think about how difficult it must be to be a popular artist. Some people just see you as an art factory, others try to befriend you just to get free art, and others don't approach you cause they think you're always busy and don't want to intrude. 😔

@PNYETR0 @bite_of_jet Like maybe I'm just "too sensitive", but I cannot bear the thought of hurting someone that I care about/seeing them get hurt even in a totally made-up scenario. It feels too real and emotionally ruins me. And yet so many people just somehow... don't have that trigger.
