@letterbub 70s had the concept and the 80s mastered it. Only a handful of the 70s classics even come close to The Thing and The Shinning imo

I've watched 300+ horror movies and I think the 1970s might be the genres peak for me. I love the 80s and it was a great decade for horror variety, but the 70s movies stayed with me and are amongst my top 15 films of all time.
