Yes, I accept this with the calm clarity of a stoic mind. What is within our power to control, we master; what the world throws at us—wars, price shocks, global tremors—we face without complaint, focusing instead on disciplined response and long-term resilience. President Tinubu's foresight in accelerating the CNG initiative, ordering the swift deployment of 100,000 conversion kits just as pressures mounted, and pushing forward with new refuelling stations along critical supply routes, reflects prudent preparation. Nigeria's abundant gas resources become a shield rather than a vulnerability, reducing dependence on volatile imported fuels. That is action rooted in reality, not rhetoric. The Executive Order No. 9 on direct remittance of oil and gas proceeds cuts away layers of deduction and opacity, channeling more resources straight to states and local governments. An increase in allocations—projected through additional remittances from NNPC and the Upstream Commission—is a structural strengthening of the federation's foundation. Whether the rise is 5% or more, the principle holds: transparency and direct accountability serve the common good. Every extra naira reaching the grassroots tests the virtue of those who receive it. Disbursements to states for cushioning economic shocks, liquidity support from the Central Bank to steady the Naira (which has held and even appreciated amid global storms), and the broader push to build domestic energy capacity—these are measures taken in anticipation of turbulence. They do not eliminate hardship, for no leader commands the winds of war or world markets, but they equip the ship to sail through them. A stoic does not cheer blindly or curse fate. I acknowledge the efforts made with gratitude for what strengthens self-reliance and national endurance. Yet virtue demands vigilance: governors and local leaders must now prove their own character by deploying these funds with justice, efficiency, and without waste. The citizen's duty is clear—hold them accountable through reason, oversight, and unwavering demand for results. Blame and blind opposition solve nothing; disciplined scrutiny and personal responsibility do. The Naira at around ₦1,345 to the dollar, CNG kits rolling out, stations rising, revenues flowing more directly;these are facts on the ground. They lighten the burden on families where implemented well. I accept them as steps taken, neither divine salvation nor failure, but human effort in an unpredictable world. What remains is for each of us to live with courage and temperance: adapt where we can, endure what we must, and build our own resilience—whether by converting a vehicle, supporting local production, or simply refusing to be ruled by fear or faction. The universe tests us; we answer with order in our own sphere. This is the way.

This is what President Tinubu has done to reduce the impact of the Iran War on you and your family. Very few countries were as prepared for the shocks to the world economy occasioned by the Iran War as Nigeria. Unfortunately, opposition politicians and activists are often too blind to the truth. Consider, for example, the CNG vehicle initiative. Compressed Natural Gas is less affected by the crisis than Premium Motor Spirit in Nigeria because Nigeria has much more LNG than crude oil, and our gas reserves and production are not as tied up in future contracts as are our crude production. You have to give it to President Tinubu. He was visionary enough that, just before petrol prices rose to ₦1,400, he ordered the immediate nationwide deployment of 100,000 CNG conversion kits on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. This is part of ongoing efforts to increase CNG penetration in Nigeria to reduce reliance on Premium Motor Spirit, which is more expensive and volatile. And it does not stop there. The President directed the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (Pi-CNG) to immediately begin additional construction of CNG refuelling stations, with 12 new mega stations commissioned and 75 more under construction along major interstate routes, especially the vital Lokoja-Abuja-Kaduna-Kano route, which is vital to the supply of food from the North to the South, as well as around Maiduguri. The progress achieved in such a short period of time is a testament to the Nigerian can-do spirit. And in anticipation of the crisis, which had resulted in sabre-rattling amongst the belligerents for months before the actual conflict began, President Tinubu had ordered the disbursement of N573 billion to the 36 states to prepare for the impact on the world economy. Additionally, to make Nigeria's economy more resilient and less vulnerable to the vicissitudes of the global economy, President Tinubu signed Executive Order No. 9 on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, making compulsory the direct remittance of all oil and gas proceeds to the Federation Account Allocation Committee without any deductions. The immediate consequence of the Executive Order was an instant increase in allocations to all states and local governments in Nigeria by at least 5%. Likely more. The technical details of this order are that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is projected to remit an additional ₦906 billion annually to the Federation Account, while the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission is expected to remit upwards of ₦8 trillion to the same pool. These monies are going DIRECTLY to your states and local governments. As of today, every Nigerian state is receiving at least double what it used to get before the Tinubu administration came into being. On the macroeconomic side, the Central Bank of Nigeria has injected liquidity into the foreign exchange market to stabilise the Naira amid global pressures, which is why, instead of seeing the Naira plummet during this crisis, as has been happening to other currencies globally, the Nigerian currency has rather stabilised and then appreciated against the Dollar, appreciating to ₦1,345 to the Dollar on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. This means that Nigeria and Nigerians will see their purchasing power rise slightly to match the likely increase in inflation resulting from the Middle East crisis. So, know that you have a President who, as a Cum Laude (First Class) accounting graduate of Chicago State University, understands the global economy and how interlinked it is. He has taken steps to cushion the impact of the conflict on you and your loved ones, and now your duty as a citizen is to hold your Governors accountable and ensure that the intervention funds they received are utilised for the purposes for which they were disbursed. Brent crude spikes, wallets feel the strain, uncertainty ripples worldwide. Epictetus said: 'It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.' When fortune shifts, the Stoic adapts without complaint. Cut what you can control;waste, worry, needless desire. Abundance begins in the mind. Stay resilient.

On airport chaos, ICE deployment & travel disruptions "Flights delayed, security lines stretching, agents stepping in amid the frenzy. Seneca taught: 'We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.' The external world throws obstacles; our judgment turns them into suffering—or lessons. Breathe. Focus on what is within your control. Peace is not the absence of chaos, but the mastery of your reaction. #StoicMindset

The world watches missiles fly and oil prices soar as tensions grip the Middle East. Yet Marcus Aurelius reminded us: 'You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.' In chaos, control what you can—your thoughts, your response, your inner peace. The storm passes; the steady mind remains. What disrupts your peace today? Master it.
