Pastor Adeboye legitly spitting bitter truths and asking relevant questions that need serious answers without caring whose horse is gored. I know Lai Mohammed or Femi Adesina will reply as usual today or tomorrow.

Everything makes sense until it’s done by a man. Just imagine a male passenger next to you had a vagina or breast keychain. I’m sure you will alight immediately and then drop a very long thread on how you escaped a creep. Sighs!

The word sheep is a general term for both sexes. The male is called RAM while the female is EWE In a similar fashion, Cattle is the general term for both sexes. The male is BULL while the female is COW. The use of bull for male and cow for female also applies to elephants, buffalos, camels, giraffes, whales, etc. Goat is a general word for both sexes. Chidinma: Even after winning Project Fame West Africa, she was famously still singing in the Foursquare Gospel Church choir. She recently circled back to her roots, completely switching back to gospel music. She used her choir training to "weaponize" her voice in three specific ways: Acoustic Power: Years of singing to the rafters—often without a microphone—gave her "stadium lungs." This is why she could belt notes that sounded twice as big as her physical frame. The "Worship" Build: In church, you learn to start a song with a soft, spiritual whisper to draw people in, before "opening up" for a grand finale. Chidinma used this psychological trick to keep judges and voters hooked until the very last note. Perfect Pitch: Choir kids grow up singing a cappella (without instruments). This creates "Human Auto-Tune"—the ability to stay perfectly on key even when the stage monitors are failing or the music is loud. Modern technology can polish a voice, but it cannot build the discipline, ear, and stamina that a decade in the choir provides. The church remains the most successful talent incubator in African music history.

The church choir is practically the foundational academy for some of the biggest vocal powerhouses in the Nigerian music industry. Here is a lineup of heavyweights who cut their teeth in the church pews before dominating the charts: A Thread 🧵

Can we talk about how the church choir really helped some Nigerian artists stabilize their vocals and pitches? A lot of our biggest stars started singing in church — and it shows. Their live performances hit different compared to many secular artists who lean heavily on auto-tune.

AYRA STARR. She lived in Diamond estate, just the next street from mine. I didn’t know her as Ayra Starr because she had not become that yet, but I had seen her, especially with her sister Tunmise (known as Salt now) who attended the secondary beside my house (Ayomi Schools). I didn’t go to Tunmise’s school coz it was too close to my house but I had friends there, and lowk I wanted to be friends with her too coz she looked cool and we always had eye contact whenever we jammed while I was going to school and she was coming to hers too. It was like a year later in 2021, my friend Stephen, who was Tunmise classmate, rushed to my house with joy and was telling me that Tunmise sister had blown and got signed by Don Jazzy. We felt happy for her and it made her very popular too around the area. Tunmise still attended Ayomi schools and finished there but obviously I didn’t see Ayra Starr again after the blow up.

@muheediva01 Depends on what the last text was. If I sent the last text and it was like "lmao" or something I have no problem sending the next text even tho I was technically last. But if I asked a question or was trying to push the conversation forward & I'm getting ignored, nah your turn

As the head of the home, you're the head of your church. And that makes you the pastor too. Your church is your family. Lead them to God in prayers. No other person would do that for you. End.

Dutch woman? Shey I told you people that I woke up around 1 or 2am with police telling me she wants me out. Person wey me and am just knack within 24hrs. Three years ago was funny. I no do any oyibo again for life!
WorldFamous 🇳🇬🇧🇪@OdohUmeh

My oyibo wife woke up one morning and told me she is divorcing me. Wait! She didn't tell me, they sent me a paper written in Dutch. I took the paper to work the following day so my colleague will help me interpret. That's how i got to know it's a divorce paper. I have only been in the country for 3 years, so my ex wanted to divorce and send me back to Africa since she gave me papers. Turns out, as we later found out, that the country has amended their law and now allows one to complete their stay as stipulated on their paper, so long the marriage lasted at least 3 years (I had 5 years papers then). Upon realization, my ex tried to mend fences and get us back, but it's too late. I was afraid. She owned me. I submitted to her whims and caprices because I feared i would lose my right to stay if she divorces me. When the divorce papers came i went into depression. I began to lose weight. Where do i begin from? How do i go back home and face my people? I pleaded with her but it fell on deaf ears. She even booked a one-way ticket for me. She said it's her own little way of helping me transition to my new reality. You need to see her disappointed when we found out i could stay. I moved out and rented my own space-far from her and her troubles. It's been years now. That period really tested me but i thank God for God.

Got my husband Timberland boots and he’s been on 3 video calls giggling to his friends and telling them “in this life, follow better woman o”. I’m just smiling to myself. Later this night when the children are asleep, he will drop boxers.

Your stomach gets a new lining every few days. This prevents it from digesting itself. 5. There are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on Earth 6. The Catholic Church put a dead body on trial in the year 897. Pope Stephan VI put the body of the deceased Pope Formosus on trial. He was, unsurprisingly, found guilty, and his body was thrown into the Tiber River. His body was recovered. There was a major uproar over it, and Pope Stephan was quietly retired (garroted in prison in the summer of 897). Pope Formosus’s body was eventually reburied in the original St. Peter’s Basilica. The church ruled that you had to be alive to be put on trial. 7. Cats can understand our languages, but they usually don't care. 8. It’s impossible to bite down on something. By the early 2000s, film production in Lagos had become expensive. Labour costs. Location fees. The sheer logistics of shooting in one of the world's most chaotic cities. So Nigerian producers started filming in Accra. Cheaper. Quieter. More controllable. And while they were there, they started casting Ghanaian actors in supporting roles to cut costs further. Then those Ghanaian actors became popular. Very popular. Van Vicker. Jackie Appiah. Majid Michel. Yvonne Nelson. Nadia Buari. Stars who Nollywood essentially created by accident, by trying to save money on production costs. The Ghana-Nigeria Nollywood crossover that defined the mid-2000s was not a cultural project. It was a budget decision that became a phenomenon. Old Nollywood was full of these moments: trying to solve one problem and accidentally creating an era.
