@MrToughScene @Spiderwes88 @Hercules_wins @Slappa_WWE It also gives people more options instead of just relying on NXT as a gateway to WWE or other mainstream wrestling companies. AEW doesn't have homegrown talent like they used to. Everything is imported from the Indies/CMLL/NJPW or WWE.

@MrToughScene @Spiderwes88 @Hercules_wins @Slappa_WWE And this is why some critics say ROH should be used as an NXT to really develop newer talent, give them exposure, help them refine their craft, build their gimmicks, and then send them to AEW main. Who cares if this copy is like NXT — it's still a farm system.

@MrToughScene @Spiderwes88 @Hercules_wins @Slappa_WWE Also, at this point, we can't keep treating them like a young company; they don't act like one—they move like an established company. Is there room for mistakes? Yes. However, if you keep holding them to that standard, they wont be able to grow. Because we keep giving them excuse

@MrToughScene @Spiderwes88 @Hercules_wins @Slappa_WWE These people were already known; Kyle Fletcher became a breakout star again, not created. He was already established in New Japan with the same group we recently saw with Will Ospreay in United Empire. That's not something created, but something established and made bigger.

@OffTangent2024 @MRMark5 @bullyray5150 @BustedOpenRadio This is where the fun part comes in: Vince McMahon spent the entire night making sure that Foley did not win that championship, putting obstacles on top of obstacle. The shift happened because other people got involved. That didn't happen with Darby last night. It's not the same

@OffTangent2024 @MRMark5 @bullyray5150 @BustedOpenRadio Foleys story was that he's not worthy of being a champion. Nobody ever said that Darby wasn't worthy of being a champion; he just had a bunch of nonsense going on that kept him away from the championship. His best opportunity to win a championship was during the Death Rider's arc

@OffTangent2024 @MRMark5 @bullyray5150 @BustedOpenRadio There are many scenarios we could bring up that happened the day before, which changed the outcome, but whatever the case may be, none of them resulted in a squash just for shock value or to take a shot at another company before their biggest event.

@bklynpsycho @MRMark5 @bullyray5150 @BustedOpenRadio BTW…Since no one wants to address that I also mentioned Triple H winning his first title on TV…Steve Austin lost the belt to Mick Foley the night before on PPV before Foley lost it to Triple H the very next day. It’s wrestling. Kepler should stop overthinking it.

@TalkingSmack82 @WrestlePurists It was only good because it was a feel-good moment—the kind of feel-good you can get any other day of the week regardless. The problem, and again people keep walking past this issue, is that you squash your best champion who was bringing in viewership.

@WrestlePurists People are mad, I don't really know why, it was a Foley moment, it won't be a long run, he deserves it. I enjoyed it. Also have some perspective, if MJF wins it back quickly in a heel way it only adds to Darby and MJF as a Feud. HHH lost nothing losing to Mankind.

A day later, how do you feel about Darby Allin’s AEW World Championship win on Dynamite?

@WrestlePurists Right person, wrong time, worse outcome. I still believe deep down that Darby should have won the world title against Moxley and not Hangman. On top of that, you did all that to defeat your biggest world champion so far, all just to grab headlines days before WrestleMania. Smh 🤦🏾‍♂️

@jayalanace @NoHustleSports @bullyray5150 @BustedOpenRadio I get that, and I'm not knocking that either, but it's going to be forgotten—and it already has been b/c peoples talking points shifted to Jey Uso crashing out on a Rapper. We're on the heels of Mania, and the shenanigans from Mania are only going to make this title win forgotten

@MrToughScene @Spiderwes88 @Hercules_wins @Slappa_WWE It's not about creating, it's about establishing. And I'm not knocking AEW for not establishing wrestlers, but let's call a spade a spade. AEW doesn't create things; they enhance things. They make things bigger from a different perspective, especially if they're not already big.

@Mb50391225 @GraveyardDogs81 @BrandonTheHeel @letsgowrestlin Many people complained about it, but at the same time, nobody really wanted to see a match with Goldberg go past 5 minutes. So, you get a so-called old school Goldberg matchup that shocked everybody, and again, it wasn't for the world title. People are justifying squash matches.

MJF beat Bryan Danielson (65:15) MJF beat Will Ospreay (59:58)
MJF beat Adam Page (46:18) MJF beat Kenny Omega (38:55) But……….. MJF lost to Darby Allin (2:05) And people are defending this and seeing nothing wrong with this. 🤦🏻 #AEWDynamite

@WrasslinRyan @BrandonTheHeel @letsgowrestlin We see a lot of wrestling fans overexaggerate various things, even the ones who scream the loudest in these posts are guilty of that kind of nonsense. Of course, MJF will bounce back from this, but from an outside perspective, this does not look good for attracting new viewers.

@BrandonTheHeel @letsgowrestlin A possible credible world champion that squash killed them in the long run. Kofi Kingston being squash by Brock Lesnar drew a lot of backlash. Some were quick to throw the race card, as they always do when something negative happens to black wrestlers.

@thesmartmark @BrotherLove1983 @BrandonTheHeel Again you keep dodging the elephant in the room. He squashed MJF; you don't squash your champion like that, especially after he single-handedly brought you back in viewership. These other arguments are pointless b/c we've seen the underdog, and little man, beat the big man before

@WrasslinRyan @BrandonTheHeel @thesmartmark Nobody said this shit stop lying. Ppl were okay with it because it made sense, plus he wasn't the champion. The sad part is that they took all the momentum Wardlow gained in that squash match but never did anything to capitalize on it, so it was a wasted moment in the long run.

@Hercules_wins @Slappa_WWE I'll give them one person that people are overlooking because people's tribalism often overlooks a lot of small nuances. Jade Cargill is a true AEW creation. Prior to that, she never worked in the Indies, never did many wrestling shows, and got thrust into the spotlight in AEW.

@Spiderwes88 @Hercules_wins @Slappa_WWE So we're just going to ignore that we have a bunch of different names for people who weren't wrestlers originally, but were athletes who came into NXT and then became wrestlers. We just gonna ignore that.
