@gradyjoseph @rcbregman So are companies allowed to have their own terms of service that they choose or not? It seems like the government wants to use anthropic models for something they specifically weren’t intended for and won’t take no for an answer.

That’s not what the reporting is actually saying. The DoW position is they should be able to use the tool for anything that is legal. Anthropic ToS is more restrictive than the law. I.e. lots of NSA use cases, legally re-authorized over and over, would theoretically be prohibited under Anthropic ToS

This is the most important thing happening in the world right now. The administration wants killer drones + mass surveillance of Americans. Anthropic refuses to build it. While most tech companies fall in line, they are prepared to pay the price for their principles.
