@girltheblight there are some attempts but nothing sticks and nothing sounds right... a few of my acquaintances are nonbinary: one prefers using plural/very formal forms of words that are essentially gender neutral, one switches between masculine/feminine and one just doesn't care so it varies

@blackaross it's similar in polish but many people started using it! there's a lot of different variants but most popular are powiedziałom or powiedziałum. im also sure there are some initiatives about neutral language in slovakia!

i understand when people are upset about how pronouns were handled in cyberpunk and them being tied to the voice but they do miss the very important context of the game being polish and polish being its original language, which is heavily, heavily gendered. at least half of the

@girltheblight oh i didn't know that... i mean we also have gender neutral terms but it's only for certain objects and we can't use it for people effectively... it's not impossible but it sounds very dehumanizing :((

@blackaross you're incorrect. in polish it'd be niebinarne. i have a lot of friends that use they/them in polish, it is simply not yet very common, but it's changing. those forms are used more and more in media and game translations

@IlyasCigarette in one of my previous fandoms it got so bad a guy in his 20s was bullied into public s*icide, after that i don't think anything can faze me in fandom spaces and it taught me to curate my timeline properly and to not engage with hate posts... just mute/block and mind my own 🫡

okay as someone who’s been in dozens of fandoms in over a decade i’m gonna say something. all fandoms suck. every single one of them has problems that feel like they’re the worst of all the fandoms when you’re in them. ALL of them. you’ve got to learn to protect your peace. pick your battles. stand up when it’s the right thing to do and learn when just to ignore, block, mute and move on. i promise every single fandom is like that and you will be a million times happier when you make peace with it and start just enjoying yourself. we’re not the first fandom that feels like a hellscape and we’re not the last. just keep giving your positive contributions and try to outweigh the bad.

@agcdtzp fr, i'm slavic and just last month when i went to a Heated Rivarly themed night at the club we were there from 10pm till something past 4am xD i got home around 5:30 and was like wow i'm home early xD at least i still had energy to take off my make up, shower and make breakfast

is it not normal in the US to come back at like 6:30am/7am after a good night out or??? Because maaan Europe goes home between 6-8am lmaooo
