If you’re dreaming of a White Christmas - dream on. Snow is fast becoming a thing of the past in Britain.
The fact that it’s hard wired into our culture through massive events like xmas and into our memories - is really interesting. Because it'll be harder and harder to ignore the fact we don't get snow anymore, and the reason why - climate change. Obvs.
Should staff be allowed to stop working in hot weather?
Under new plans, workers like binmen and builders would be sent home during heatwaves.
Unions are pushing for a maximum working temperature of 27 degrees.
Would you back this?
Latest UK labour market stats are dire.
Job vacancies at a ten-year low (bar pandemic).
Over 200,000 added to the dole since Labour came to power — taking unemployment from 4.2% to 4.7%.
The 24 to 35 age-group suffering sharpest fall in employment as firms cut back on graduate recruitment (see my recent article on this dismal trend).
Those on Universal Credit have soared by 1m under Labour to record 8m. So much for reforming welfare.

What are you saying?
Warning. You are paying for Justin Rowlatt who’s salvaged his career by pushing climate fear on @BBCNews
Yes it’s warm. It’s summer. It’s NOT extraordinary, a crisis, or an existential threat. But despite being fined X 2 by OFCOM he’s still on a huge TV license salary.
Hoping that @reformparty_uk landslide in #Kent will end Solar farms, like I got to see from the air today, creeping over prime farmland in “the garden of England”. 1000s of acres more currently planned under #Netzero madness.
Folks this👇feller just does ‘NOT GET IT’ his head or ability to understand what the British Public want must be as thick as a Whale sandwich; what the people want is for YOU @Keir_Starmer & @UKLabour to be Gone just get that into your thick skull & GO👋
@itvnews I remember the heatwave of 1976, that went on for about 2 weeks but we survived.
Make the most of it people, the U.K. isn’t really known for its lovely weather + @Ed_Miliband & @UKLabour want to EXPERIMENT with dimming the sun, who knows what will happen.
The highest April temperature ever recorded in the UK was 29.4C, which was reached in London on 16 April 1949.
Thought I'd mention this before the Climate Change activists say this spell of sunny weather is climate change.
It's not. It's called 'weather.'
The Englishman 🏴by G. K. Chesterton
St George he was for England,
And before he killed the dragon
He drank a pint of English ale
Out of an English flagon.
For though he fast right readily
In hair-shirt or in mail,
It isn't safe to give him cakes
Unless you give him ale.
St George he was for England,
And right gallantly set free
The lady left for dragon's meat
And tied up to a tree;
But since he stood for England
And knew what England means,
Unless you give him bacon
You mustn't give him beans.
St George he is for England,
And shall wear the shield he wore
When we go out in armour
With battle-cross before.
But though he is jolly company
And very pleased to dine,
It isn't safe to give him nuts
Unless you give him wine.
