@twinsarekeepers Third degree burns don’t necessarily cause chronic pain. When you first get injured it’s painful and itchy like crazy but the pain is not chronic.

I think they could’ve made the chronic pain more apparent too. Honestly I feel like people don’t really understand the severity of burn scars. It’s a miracle that Zuko survived one so extreme at such a young age.

Yeah Zuko’s scar is done relatively well. The only thing I’d say they should’ve done was make it clear that he’s blind and deaf on that side.

He's not deaf or blind though, his injuries weren't *that* bad. The context around the scar is horrific due to the trauma associated with it, not because of the extent of his injuries Do you guys even know how burn scars work?
