This older car salesman at the dealership told me he was divorced, had no kids, and that his ex-wife was a model back in the day who didn’t want children because she didn’t want to ruin her figure. He had a sister, but she passed away. His parents have also passed away, and he doesn’t visit Chicago, his hometown, anymore because all his relatives are gone. He was in his late 60s and had regrets about not having children, which also means no grandchildren or great grandchildren. He has no nieces or nephews. I stopped asking questions because I started to feel bad for him. Children are a lot of work but it extends your family. I love being an aunty, a mom, and a sister, and I really can’t wait to be a grandma. I wouldn’t want to do life alone in my 60s.
