Yeah, it's late. Ordinarily, we might wait to post our "W" graphic...but we're going to be pretty busy tomorrow! Tonight was like a movie tho! Talk about intensity! The Cats came out firing on ALL cylinders. On defense, we were everywhere, making life extremely tough for the Penn offense in the early going. Meanwhile, all five Riley starters scored in the opening quarter. By the end of the opening stanza the Wildcats were holding a 17-4 lead and they never looked back. Wire-to-wire victory and it was never in doubt. Penn did what they could to stay in the fight but every time they'd make a big shot or get a big stop, Riley would respond. Tyrese Jones looked like an Indiana All-Star out there, dicing and slicing his way to 23 points and 4 rebounds. Dakori Parker looked like an Indiana Junior All-Star, controlling the game in a way that doesn't always show up on the stat sheet...but if you were there, you know, as he finshed with 8 points and 10 assists. (This kid is an absolute STUD!) Isaiah Packer chipped in to the tune of 12 points, with 2 three-pointers and two And-1 plays in this one to go with 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Kelin Webster rounded out the double figure scoring with 10 of his own as well. As we love to do around here...it was an all-around TEAM victory! The win moves Riley to 21-4 and sets up one the biggest Sectional Championship matchups we've seen around these parts in quite some time. Our Cats are the defending 4A Sectional and Regional Champions and finished the regular season ranked #15 in the state...while St. Joe is the defending State Champion, albeit in 3A, and finished the regular season ranked #11. We'll have a more in-depth preview tomorrow but make no mistake...this is a big one. So, we'll take about 5 minutes to enjoy this huge win tonite-it definitely feels good-but we've got a lot more business to handle! Outstanding job gentleman, you continue to make us proud. We've had an amazing season, we've traveled all around the state playing some of the best competition, got some big wins and had some great times! But it was all in preparation for this. You win, you move on. You lose, your season...and for some guys, your career...is over. The Wrestler and The Hooper

We've got one last award to give out after our huge win over Penn a few nights ago and it's the @eatoncorp Energizer Award...which is going to none other than Tyrese Jones! We had a great team effort that night so this could have went a number of different ways but Ty is...Ty. He did a little bit of this, little bit of that, made a shot here, made a shot there. In the end, he was our second leading scorer and was also second in assists...so he's the guy! Congrats, Tyrese, and congratulations! Just another great game in a long season (and career) full of 'em! Now, get back to work....the grind continues!!! WILDCATS ROLLIN! What can we say about Dakori Parker that we haven't already said? This kid is pretty good. He's got a cool nickname, "The Driver", and he's def got the keys to the high powered machine that is our offense. BUT. We're not sure if that's good enough anymore. Watching him play, the way he controls the game, the way he makes the exact play we need, right when we need it...it's amazing. Let's try some new ones: "The Chemist"...cuz the boy be cookin! "The Composer"...cuz it's like he's writing music out there! Or how about; "The Clock"...cuz he's always on time. Alright, we'll keep working on it, which means for now we'll just stick with "The Driver"...cuz this dude looks like a Lambo racing a Pinto and when he says "leggo" then dammit...we GOOO! Outside of that, we're also going to call him our @GatesChevy CATalyst Award winner in our huge win over the Penn Kingsmen! We had lots of dudes ball out-all five starters scored at least 13-but if you were there, you understand. Kori cooked. He composed. And he was right on time...every time. It may go without saying, but hey, we feel good! Last night, we looked good. Another dominant conference win as we dropped 90 points for the third time in the last four games (Adams "held" us to 87). Isaiah Packer led the way with 30 points, a career high for the senior. Tyrese Jones was right behind him with 28, giving the Cats a 1-2 punch that was hard for the Lions to deal with! With the win we move to 16-4 on the year with just three games remaining in the regular season. We have had some adversity and we have fought through ome injuries...but we are coming together and starting to play really well! A lot of business remaining to handle! Great job in this one fellas!!! Now, get back to work...the grind continues!!! WILDCATS ROLLIN!
