"We have a five- or six-party-system trapped in the body of a two-party electoral system."
@ProfTimBale explains why multi-party politics is here to stay 👇
Voters want real choice. We need a proportional voting system that makes it possible.

When there are some parts of the job you enjoy so much, namely hanging out with @Riverford suppliers, that you just want to take everyone else you work with along with you so they don't miss out. Plus, everyone should understand the field to plate process.

@cat_frampton Hey Cat, can I pick your brain, mulberries on Dartmoor? I don't think I've ever seen any but have you?

The fact that no one cares about this will forever be a mystery to me. Stupidity? Cognitive dissonance? Evil? IDK. But it really pisses me off that the people doing nothing are taking all of us - and all species - with them. 🤬

Because no one party can speak for the whole of Britain.
Because the value of our vote shouldn't depend on our postcode.
Because we want to be able to vote for what we truly believe in.
Because governments make better decisions when every voice is heard.

Some Szechuan pepper trees @Riverford actually looking alright & fruiting! They were not planted by me. Hope these two things are not related. Gonna focus on wondering what delights the @RiverfordFK may make from them #RiverfordAgroforestry

Spent a lovely bank holiday tea picking at Dartmoor Estate Tea, just outside of #Ashburton Even had a wee delectable taste of some they'd made earlier. If you're after a Devon grown, almost organic cuppa would very much recommend dartmoorestatetea.com

"If politicians can write off millions of voters, we don't have democracy."
In her bestselling book "Minority Rule", @ayocaesar points out the injustices at the heart of our political system which marginalises young people and other underrepresented groups.
Well put! 👇

who's going?? 🌱The UK needs to have a nature-friendly farming budget big enough to meet the scale of need and make sure small farms get their fair share. Join the #FoodInOurHands march on April 26th in London: landworkersalliance.org.uk/foodinourhands…

Whilst the sun and dry conditions are lovely and helpful for a lot of farm work this is also the first year in its history when @Riverford 's home farm has had to irrigate crops in March. This is worrisome #theclimateischanging

Epically interesting day with fellow @Riverford co-owners learning how @edengeothermal works, tapping into below ground heat to then heat the bio domes and their new covered cropping space. Particularly interested in how this tech could be used to reduce imports.
