I was once happy to shop at Fantana Pharmacy without any hesitation. Not anymore. The image of Fantana Pharmacy has been permanently damaged in my mind after they came out with this horrible support for the continuation of state terrorism, and against human rights protests. I saw comments from other persons, sickened by this direction of the Fantana Pharmacy management, calling them the modern day white slave masters. Jamaicans For Justice (JFJ) was not protesting against the police. They were protesting against police brutality. They were protesting against the murders of poor black men, and the refusal to have the police wear body worn cameras. How could any human being with a heart, with a conscience, with any respect for human rights oppose that? Those are not humans with any care for justice. Those managers of Fantana Pharmacy who sent this message are wealthy, powerful, privileged monsters that view those poor black men as undesirable cockroaches that should be sprayed. The message from the management of Fantana Pharmacy is: Don't bother with the justice system. Don't both with arrests, charges, and the court house business. Just get rid of them on the spot. Continue to kick down their doors, drag them out of their beds and blow their brains out. After that, continue throwing them into the back of the pickup, like trash. Then continue telling lies that you killed them in a shootout. Continue doing so to poor black men like Jahmar Farquharson of Cherry Tree Lane. And of course, continue making sure that you don't use and body-worn cameras, and if you see any cameras around, unplug them, cut the wires and cover them up. The Fantana Pharmacy management also further encouraged this by giving members of the security forces a discount. Doing so in this context of the protests against human rights violations is like paying potential hitmen. It reminds me of the Nazi rounding up the Jews and taking them to the gas chamber. It reminds me of the the lynching of black male "niggers" on the plantation back in the day.
