NAACP President Derrick Johnson: The NAACP is calling on athletes coming out of high school not to attend any state-funded schools of states that have moved to minimize our right to vote. The NAACP will fight in solidarity with the CBC to ensure that we have representation, and if we don't, we will withhold the talent that play on the football field on the basketball court in this moment.

The NAACP has launched a campaign calling for college athletes and fans to withhold athletic support from public universities in Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas & Georgia due to Black voting representation. Auburn complained very loudly about missing the NCAA Tournament. I didn’t agree with lots of the arguments made on their behalf, but they went and won the NIT Winning is a much better way to make a point than taking your ball and going home like Notre Dame football did this year
