Partially. I'm betting that OSS models will get *good enough* to run on commodity hardware (look at Google/Chrome's new beta API's). Going towards dedicated hardware for Solana is simply the logical path that all other chains have gone. PoS changes the dynamics and what to optimize for, but it's still the same roadmap.

Buying a DGX is a waste of money unless you are developing your own models. OSS models are always going to lag behind the frontier labs ones, and any time they don't, the labs will simply use them to train on.

From a purist perspective, neither socialism nor capitalism has ever existed outside of theoretical blueprints; both are utopian ideals that immediately corrupted upon contact with human reality. True orthodox socialism demanded a stateless, borderless society where workers directly controlled the means of production. A dream that collapsed in 1914, subsequently mutating into either the authoritarian state-capitalism of Marxism-Leninism or the reformist compromises of Social Democracy. Similarly, pure capitalism promised a frictionless free market driven entirely by unhindered competition, voluntary exchange, and zero state interference. Yet, no capitalist system has ever survived without immense government intervention, central bank bailouts, protectionist tariffs, and corporate subsidies. In the end, the pure versions of these ideologies are just theoretical ghosts haunting the messy, fundamentally mixed economies we actually inhabit.

Was messing around with the @metaplex agent template and made a thing. More details Monday but anyone adventurous is welcome to give it a try for some weekend degeneracy.

@harkl_ I think it's too limited since you're gated to the finalization time of the L1. Doesn't really feel like light speed finance. I'd much prefer pay-as-you-go price methodologies like @faremeterxyz

For science: As a dev are you using x402 yet?

The onchain delegates what's allowed to execute for the agent. I think the Solana programming model actually fits well here. Separate state and execution so there's Agent state (SOUL.md, memory, history, etc) that's cryptographically linked to the agent, and you can just run on any runtime that supports it.

@blockiosaurus Great article! I do wonder how you could link off-chain instance of an agent to on-chain identity? But I guess if the owner key, delegate etc. gets compromised it's on the owner.
