The collective European west has made a mistake in extending its tolerance also to the intolerant. The price for this mistake has been payed disproportionately by European Jews. We handed out citizenship to people who promoted antisemitism and wanted to overthrow our way of living. This self-inflicted condition has to stop.
The other day I was honored to receive the EJA King Solomon Award and this is a part of the speech I was able to give at the reception.

For the greater good of Europe and the free world, we must stand clearly and consistently on the side of our allies and shared values.
That means supporting the United States and Israel in confronting real security threats—while also standing firmly with the Iranian people, who deserve freedom, dignity, and a future beyond oppression.
Strength isn’t silence. It’s moral clarity. Europe should lead with unity, support its allies, and show that it stands with those fighting for liberty—not just when it’s easy, but when it matters most.

Britain, Europe and others are refusing to help defend the Straits of Hormuz not just because they are pusillanimous appeasers who will never themselves lift a finger to confront tyranny and are all too happy to rely parasitically on the US to defend their interests.
Behind that bubbles an unsavoury stew of disgust and fear of Trump’s moral clarity over Iran (yes, you read that right); venomous hostility to Israel founded in the destruction of their own moral compass; and the disintegration of their national identity and ability to acknowledge, let alone defend themselves against, predatory foes from both within and without and who need to be fought.

English

@DailySignal Europe’s self-inflicted economic crisis and misguided moral posturing have led to strained ties with the U.S. and Israel—jeopardizing NATO’s future. Claiming the moral high ground while expecting others to foot the bill? A political nightmare of its own making.

Victor Davis Hanson: Europe’s Iran Schizophrenia on Full Display Now
Europe is deathly afraid of a nuclear Iran, but it does not want to do anything about it.
What explains this European schizophrenia?
President Donald Trump has a simple, straightforward request of America’s so‑called European allies: While the U.S. uses all of its assets to disarm a common threat to the West, could they send a few ships to help patrol the Strait of Hormuz?
By and large, the answer has been a resounding “no.”
That is notable, @VDHanson points out on today’s edition of Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words, considering it was not too long ago that the United States set aside its own diplomatic interests to help Britain in its mission retake the Falkland Islands from Argentina.

Great catching up in Shanghai with our Scotwork colleague Dong — someone Victor had previously completed a course with here in Shanghai.
We shared insights on cultural dynamics in negotiation — from trust-building and hierarchy to pace, decision-making, and communication styles. These differences aren’t just interesting; they directly impact outcomes. What works in one market can easily stall progress in another.
One of the real strengths of being part of Scotwork is that, wherever we are in the world, we operate from the same proven negotiation methodology. We share a common language, structure, and set of principles — enabling us to support global clients with consistency and alignment across regions.
For multinational organisations, that means:
• Stronger cross-border collaboration
• Faster internal alignment
• Greater confidence in complex negotiations
• More sustainable agreements
Proud to be part of a global Scotwork family — combining local cultural insight with a shared professional platform to help our clients succeed worldwide.

Let’s get started!

We kick off tomorrow, continuing the negotiation skills journey we started last year with the same European company.
This time, the focus shifts to new participants—predominantly from sales, building on the foundations laid last year with management and procurement teams. It’s a great example of how negotiation capability gains real traction when it’s developed across functions, over time.
This programme is one of several Scotwork negotiation skills courses, designed to move beyond theory and deliver practical, commercial impact from day one.

An inspiring week in Shanghai 🌏
Another powerful journey exploring how people think, react, and adapt when faced with real negotiation challenges.
Every time a group steps into the room, they arrive with habits and instincts — shaped not only by experience, but also by culture. By the end, you can literally see the shift: sharper questions, clearer structure, calmer confidence.
Grateful for the energy, openness, and curiosity in the room — and to my fellow Scotworker Zhi DONG for the teamwork and insight that make each course unique.

Back in the Aircraft Industry – Developing Global Negotiation Skills
It’s great to be back on-site delivering another Scotwork Negotiation Skills course for a fantastic group of professionals in the aircraft industry.
Over these three days, participants from across the world are diving into real-world negotiation challenges building confidence, sharpening strategy, and developing the mindset needed for long-term, cross-cultural business relationships.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with this company several times before, and it’s inspiring to see their continued investment in their people and in building a strong negotiation culture.
At the same time, our Scotwork colleagues in the U.S. are running the same program for the same company in Canada, helping to create a shared global language and approach to negotiation.
The journey continues and we’ll be back again soon to work with more great teams!

@netanyahu @realDonaldTrump The achievement of peace in Gaza and the safe return of hostages mark a moment of great progress. Should President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu succeed in ending the war in Ukraine on Ukraine’s terms, it would represent a contribution to peace worthy of the Nobel Prize.
English

@EricLDaugh Thank you, President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, for your leadership, courage, and determination to bring the first light of peace to a region in darkness — now the real work starts.
English

🚨 BREAKING: By stroke of pen, President Trump formally SOLIDIFIES his Gaza Peace Plan after the release of 20 Israeli hostage by Hamas
"This took 3,000 years to get to this point. It's gonna HOLD UP, TOO."
Trump is flanked by MANY world leaders within and surrounding the region.
So much history is happening before our very eyes.

@Osint613 Exactly, Europe needs to let go of always looking for permission from USA for its actions, it’s time to step up and decide our own future and boarders.
English

@front_ukrainian The core issue is that EU has to do more , not only expected USA to act, before EU does anything, it’s time for EU to act as an sole entity, not always looking for approval from USA, it’s time to grow our own backbone and act accordingly.
English

Most negotiations don’t break down on scope — they break down on price.
A buyer sits across from a seller.
The proposal is on the table.
The scope is clear. The buyer nods.
“This is exactly what we need,” they say.
But then comes the pause.
“The scope makes sense… but the price feels too high.”
Sound familiar?
This is the point where many deals stall.
Not because the work isn’t valuable —
but because each side sees value through a different lens.
The seller sees the price as fair: expertise, risk, and effort all accounted for.
The buyer sees the price as a stretch: an investment that must fit within budgets and deliver clear returns.
Here’s the truth:
If both sides dig in, the conversation goes nowhere.
If both sides explore value, priorities, and outcomes — alignment emerges.
Because the real win in negotiation isn’t about reducing scope or slashing price.
It’s about building a shared understanding of value.
The best deals aren’t won on price or scope. They’re won by closing the gap.
And that’s exactly what Scotwork negotiation skills training is designed to do:
help professionals bridge those gaps, overcome disagreements, and create deals where both sides feel they’ve won.

@joni_askola Summer, autumn, winter or spring offensive, the outcome is the same, Russia hasn’t succeeded yet and won’t how much they keep on trying, fighting a war with a spent army will only prolong pain and misery, Ukraine has already won, Russia is in denial.
English

@blomquists64 @igorsushko A lot of their wells need to be redrilled if the flow stops, especially in Winter. It's not like a light switch that can be turned off and on. This works like leaving a faucet open in a freeze, the moving water doesn't stop moving long enough to freeze.
English

@Toriadus It’s the same strategy as Turkey did when Sweden wanted into NATO, Polen is using Ukraine EU accession as a bargaining chip, just making sure they get something in return, standard trading policy now a days, nothing to get upset about.
English

Yes, dear Poland, now is exactly the right time to stab Ukraine in the back, while it bleeds and drowns in blood defending all of Western civilization from Russian fascists. It’s painful to see such vile and cynical actions from our neighbors.
KyivPost@KyivPost
🇵🇱 Poland will BLOCK Ukraine’s EU accession until the dispute over the Volyn tragedy — the WWII-era massacres of Poles by Ukrainian forces — is resolved, Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
English

@visegrad24 I’m sure sanctions are to some degree effective, however going after the buyers with 50% tariffs is more effective as Trump is doing with India, EU should put more pressure on Russian clients financially and at the same time fully support Ukrainian military industry long term

Russia’s oil revenues have dropped by 30% - Putin is losing billions due to EU sanctions
“These funds are no longer available to finance Russia’s war machine,” Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas told Die Welt.
According to the EU’s foreign policy chief, sanctions targeting Russia’s “shadow fleet” have cut the country’s oil transport revenues in the Baltic and Black Seas by 30% in just one week.
