The 1988 carbon test was taken at the corner-incredibly close to the repaired portion of the shroud after the 1500s fire. Piece of shroud that was carbon tested contained cotton and dyes - which was not seen on main shroud image.

Agnosticism, what Alex believes, is thinking that the existence of the supernatural cannot be known—which is true for now because humans do not have supernatural means to get supernatural proof

If he saw the resurrection he would still question his own eyes and sanity of his mind. That’s the skeptical ego. There’s never enough proof
